Preschool thru 5th Grade

At St. Maria Goretti the children are formed in their faith through Catechesis of the Good Shepherd.

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd responds to the desire of the child to come to know and enjoy the presence of God in their life. “Help me come close to God all by myself”.

Children learn in a special environment where they work with child-size objects and materials designed to help them build a loving and trusting relationship with Jesus. Classes are held September thru May and class times vary throughout the week. Please call for a schedule.

Catechists are trained extensively for each level of catechesis and are diocesan certified. Sacramental Preparation is also provided for this age group.

Individual photography is not allowed in the church during the Confirmation Mass. A professional photographer will be taking pictures of all the children which will be available on CD. Details will be made available a few weeks prior to the Mass.
